There are lots of great places to get a bite in Spokane from reknown franchises like Anthony’s, to favorite local spots like Clinkerdagger’s. We’ve rounded up 5 must try restaurants in the Spokane area and ranked them based on ambiance, quality of the food, and price. Looking for a new restaurant to try on Date night or a fun place to visit with friends? Check out one of these fantastic locally owned restaurants. You can’t go wrong no matter which one you pick.

1. The Wandering Table

The Wandering Table - 5 must try restaurants in Spokane

Though not super well known, The Wandering Table in Kendall Yards serves some of the best food in Spokane. One favorite is their Crispy WA Steelhead with a ginger glaze. And guess what? It doesn’t cost $30 for a plate. Find unique delicious dinners for a reasonable price. The menu changes seasonally, so you’re always in for a treat. Great location in Kendall yards with the option to eat inside or outside on the patio. A classy restaurant with great ambiance and food. Slightly more expensive than some of our other favorites, but definitely reasonable for the quality of the food.

2. Manito Tap House

Manito Tap House - 5 must try Spokane Restaurants

Located at 29th and Grand, Manito Tap House is a hipster-style restaurant serving great drinks and great food. Also locally owned, the restaurant is definitely one of the best places to find a quality burger in Spokane. Choose from their public favorite Tap House Burger (Cambozola cheese, smoked onion & bacon marmalade, lettuce & a touch of mayo on a house-made bun) or the Chef Burger (Sunny side up egg, tobacco onion, bacon, jack cheese, sweet chili aioli) or enjoy my personal favorite the Brisket French Dip (House smoked brisket, toasted hoagie, caramelized onion, jack cheese, smoky au jus). Lots of great brews on tap. Perfect spot for a Friday night date. The restaurant doesn’t have a view, but you can sit outside on the patio or inside the restaurant and enjoy food that definitely makes up for any lack in the location. The restaurant also offers reasonable prices on entrees and handhelds with great deals at happy hour on drinks and appetizers.

3. Elliot’s Urban Kitchen

One of the newer local restaurants in Town, Elliot’s is also one of the most affordable places to get amazing food. The small restaurant (and bar) offers a varied selection of delectable entrees and appetizers. Their location on Monroe is easy to get to and the inside is very creatively decorated. Some favorites are the Lloyd’s burger with Bacon and White Cheddar and the Flat Iron Salad [steak salad] with pickled onions, spiced nuts, and blue cheese or their Fresh Green Curry with Lime and Cilantro.

4. Central Food

Also in Kendall Yards, Central Food is one of the best restaurants to visit any time of the day. Whether you want brunch by the river on a Sunday morning, lunch with business colleagues, or dinner out on Friday night, Central Food offers great ambiance and a convenient location. Some classics include their French Toast breakfast on Homemade Bread with honey-bourbon-pecan butter and maple syrup, The Korean Pork Sandwich for lunch, and the Central Burger with Sweet Potato Jo-jos for dinner. Central Food also serves a diverse variety of dishes from Sunrise Gumbo to Pumkin Pasta. Lots of outdoor seating overlooking the Spokane River with views of the Falls.

5. Veraci Pizza

Veraci Pizza - 5 Must try Spokane Restaurants

Now, if you’re looking for the best Pizza in Town, Veraci is the place for you. Veraci makes their own pizza dough daily, including a fantastic gluten free dough and woodfires their pizza in a giant kiln. Alongside the classic Cheese, Pepperoni, and Meat Pizzas, Veraci features some more unique offerings like the Panopoulos with prosciutto and pineapple or the Earth Pie with mushrooms, spinach and feta. You can choose to sit inside with a great view of the Spokane river or on the Patio overlooking the river below. Pizza’s are served on the pan straight out of the fire (kiln).

While we opted to rank the restaurants for you, any and all are a great choice if you’re looking for a new restaurant to try in Spokane. In addition to their varied menus and tasteful offerings, most offer a kids menu and a robust gluten free menu. There is something for everyone at any of these top Spokane restaurants.
